School Council Visit Richard House Children's Hospice

On Thursday 14th January 2016 Calverton School Council Members visited Richard House Children's Hospice.  Their main objective was to give them the £700 raised at Calverton.  In return staff members gave them a tour of the Hospice.  Children there suffer serious illnesses and the hospice helps them enjoy sensations of the world and overcome their setbacks.  After they grow up, some go on to be like others and no longer require help.  Although, as well as being exciting there were also sad parts.  Often residents do not survive therefore it is important they live life to the fullest.  Overall the School Council thought the trip was absolutely fantastic.
