Working for Calverton
We are a diverse and exciting school with an enriching resource provision for autistic children. We feel we excite, enthuse and engage children to create a grounding impact on their ability to achieve and become lifelong learners. We achieve this through young, well informed, confident staff, who are able to structure flexible learning opportunities. We are absolutely focussed on learning; be that children or adults. We make sure that learning for all is challenging and well supported. As a result children and adults achieve things they didn’t think possible.
We’re very proud of our children and our school, especially the individual and collective achievements. We have been awarded Forest School status and outdoor learning is in every part of our school day. If you visit the school you will see our Pride board in the front reception with the latest achievements of our children.
Physical education is important to us and all children have the benefit of a specialist sports coach and a wide range of exciting sporting competitions, our trophy cabinet is exploding. We have been fortunate for this hard work to be recognised; by the Youth Sports Trust awarding us a Silver standard and the Schools Games to award us Gold standard.
The great learning that happens for children and adults means we achieve many things and we’re very proud of this.
